I fell in love with photography at film school (NYU - Tisch School of the Arts) with the cinematography of Gordon Willis (The Godfather) and Vittorio Storaro (Tucker: The Man and his Dream). A writer by trade (LP - Disney, House Momma - MGM, The Funeral - Def Pictures, BBQ - Beacon Pictures, Deadwood - HBO), I remain committed to photography, and especially portraiture. Pedro Almodovar, Richard Avedon, Kwame Brathwaite, Roy DeCarava, Stanley Kubrick, Vivian Maier, David Milch, Gordon Parks, Irving Penn, Phil Silvers, Albert Watson are among my favorites.
